Pupils of Castlehackett NS with descendants of Dr John Bligh, who attended the school in the 1800s. They had visited in 2011. Dr. John Bligh was born in Castlehackett in the early 19th Century. Drs John and Alexander Murray Bligh and their half-brother Colonel Patrick Kelly were past pupils.
Awards will be presented at Castlehackett National School from 1230-1430 PM , follow by a Commemoration ceremonly in honour of Colonel Patrick Kelly at Knockma from 1530 – 1630 PM.
